Membership and Baptism

I have been gone awhile from the blogging world, seems to be like the spring is getting busier and trying to keep up with the boys and working is about what my days include!  I am wiped!  But that doesn't mean there isn't a lot to share and some fun memories being shared.  I seem to just shake my head A LOT these days!

"FAMILY PICTURE GOES HERE!!!" soooo mad I didn't take one!

A few weeks back our family shared a very special milestone together.  This past fall we decided to go back and try my old church that I grew up in, First Reformed, this was a very hard decision because Chris and I had established ourselves at Faith Community.  Pastor Tim married us and we had all 3 of our boys at that church.  We however just felt it was time for something different, and honestly I couldn't tell you what was lacking at Faith, nothing, it is an amazing place to worship, but again we just had a feeling.  So we tried out First Reformed a couple Sunday's, and we just immediately felt like it was the right fit for our family at this point in our life.  My family goes there, as well as many other cousins and friends we have.  Their children's program is so great, and our boys had no problem jumping right in and were welcomed with open arms.  We right away just felt a huge connection and Pastor Ryan and everyone involved made us feel very welcomed.

So the next thing we knew we had decided to join the church, and we also wanted to have the boys baptized.  At Faith we had them dedicated, and even though you aren't "saving" your children by baptizing them, we just felt it was something we wanted to have happen.  We talked to the boys a lot about what it meant, and they were so excited to do this!  Chris also made the decision to get baptized as well, so it was a very special day for the whole family.  We actually put on quite the show in front of Church, believe it or not, we had multiple periods of chuckles from the congregation.... Or maybe we should just call this the "Kyler Show" he has never officially been in the Church pews, he is straight in the nursery, and we always just hope and pray that his number doesn't get called.  So having him in the pews with us, he was bouncing off the walls even before we got called up there, I crammed his hands full of fruit snacks to distract him and he had his binky too.  Bad idea.

When we got called to the front he ended up throwing the binky 3 or 4 times BEHIND us and actually the elder picked it up...Oh goodness!  Then he saw pastor Ryan poor the water into the bowl, and was yelling and reaching for the water.  I was starting to sweat to say the least!  While Crew and Brody were getting baptized (they did so well, and got so much out of it) I did everything in my power to keep Kyler still in my arms and keep him from crying.  Finally it was HIS turn, it was like God totally took over at this point and Kyler went completely calm! Crew and Brody did excellent really, Brody only lost it one time, after Kyler had to get switched over to Chris' arms because he was being crazy, and he accidentally kicked Brody in the head during the transfer, oh man Brody turned around so quick and just kind of hit Kyler's leg back and mumbled something...Oh dear, I was sweating very heavily by this time.  We made it through though, and at least everyone in the church could see the Price family for what we are!  Just a little bit wild and crazy...

We celebrated afterwards at the Nuthouse with the grandparents.  Good day!!!

He is RISEN-- Easter Sunday

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with our families.  Chris worked, but was able to make it to his parents for dinner that  night.  The kids were super excited and literally on a sugar high all day!  We tried to keep everything in perspective and remind them it's not all about the candy, eggs, and the Easter bunny.  Which Crew reminded me again, that we don't believe in anything but God, so I guess he is on the right track there! Thank you JESUS for the sacrifice you made to die for our sins, the biggest gift we could ever receive!

It is fun to see them start to get really competitive though over the egg hunts, young and old it is exciting to watch and be apart of.

Book time is always a favorite...
Kys getting help from Nana trying to get the hang of just putting the egg in the bucket without opening the egg first and dumping all the candy out...
Always ready to pose and smile...
Oh Crew
Bryce  never cries, but Jeff was trying to get him to pick up an egg and he bumped his head
This picture is proof that Crew was blind, we told him there were two eggs by the BBQ, can you see them?? :)
Some good old candy slobber
The race is on!

Next year there will be a couple more in the tub, I am super pumped to be an Auntie to TWINS, boy and a GIRL. Cole and Becca are going to be busy, but as you can see that is how our family is... Full of kids, fun, and craziness!!!

Jesus Loves Me

Ky Ky has been in a big boy bed for awhile now, and it makes for some interesting naps and night time.  Just like the other boys, he can get a little naughty and loves to pull little pranks to see what will get mom and dad out of bed.  His favorite thing to do is crawl up and take all of the blind slats out of the blinds...Now that is a job! This kid can climb any distance and get to anything so his monitor base is another thing is he is constantly trying to change channels on.  He loves to hoard his favorite books and toys in his bed too, what a stinker.
Ky's is a little spoiled when it comes to bed because he is my only 2 1/2 year old that still gets rocked after reading books.  Oh well, my sweet baby.  We always sing Jesus Loves Me & You are my Sunshine, and about half way through he always stops me and says "I do it" then he starts singing it is seriously the sweetest thing!
Big brothers tucking Ky's in... Sometimes they all get to sing songs for awhile, and they sing the sweetest Jesus Loves Me I have ever heard.  Didn't know they crazy boys had it in them! :)
The song usually ends in some sort of last tackle of the day---sweet dreams!!!

Spring Break Time

Yes it was a break, and very busy with mostly just me and my boys.   Chris was scheduled to work everyday, 7 straight, so we had to be creative and make the best of it!  The weather started out pretty crazy with some 37 degree weather and snow, but ended beautifully with lots of sun, and plenty of time to get outside and enjoy it!  The nicest part was not having to get up early, get all the kids ready and rush out of the house somewhere.
The boys have been wanting to have a car wash, so they set up a car washing station in the alley and got out all our riding toys and did stations.  It drew in a bunch of the neighbors too and pretty soon everyone was washing their bikes.  We thought it was a warm day at a whopping 58 degrees... :)
My boys and Jack
It left plenty of time for watching cartoons late, and Nana helped them discover the old Batman shows that are on TV, (channel 12) and so we have them on DVR, can't get enough of those!  Brody now is loving to mix in Robin too, so he uses his yellow super hero cape, and will be Robin/Buzz, Spidey/Batman, or any other combo you can think of...
We got ready for Easter and this year instead of dying eggs, I gave them each 5 large plastic eggs, and an equal assortment of candy. They then got to chose how much and what kind of candy/combinations they were going to put in each egg.

We made some visits, one of them being Nana's store since we never get to see her at her work, and we had lunch and got to run around everywhere.  They picked out a treat before they left and got these way cool monster cookies.  So much sugar!  But they loved them!
Good monster face BoBo's!
We had a good break, we mixed in some soccer, walks, a McDonald's play date with Memi, Becca, and Kader, and lots of time just being home together, on our own schedule!!!

Kristin's House!

Oh man, what can I say about the experience the boy's had at Chris' house?  Better yet, how am I ever going to get over them asking, "are we going to Kristin's house today?"  My cousin Kristin watched the boys for me this fall and winter, and just ended last week because she is expecting baby #2 any day!  Her son Chris, is turning 3 this week, so he is exactly in between Kyler and Brody's age.  Crew went their when he wasn't in school as well.  This was a huge turning point for Kyler being able to finally go somewhere else, even if it took him a whole month to get fully adjusted.
Kristin is just great, it actually brings some tears to my eyes just thinking about how good she was for our boys.  They adore her and call Chris their brother.  It is so cool to see everyone bond so much!  My boys' love for monster trucks quadrupled because of all the trucks they have.  My cousin Brent also is in the demo derby, and had recordings from previous years, so besides monster trucks, demo derby and crashing cars, Xbox Kinex, playing outside with the dog, and running around being wild and crazy were pretty much their days there.  Plus Kristin gave them chicken nuggets for lunch any day they asked, and had an endless supply of their new favorite treat--fruit by the foot!
We are so happy for Kristin, and Chris to get a new brother or sister soon!  We are going to have Chris come play at our house once the baby is born, everyday he asks "when are my friends coming again?"

Thank you Kristin for taking the boys and giving them such a great care...  On call for Chris' schedule, and always willing to help out and be flexible, you have definitely found your gift of watching and taking care of kids!  We love you guys!
