Say Cheese!

Taking pictures in our house has become part of our every day, so Crew thinks that he is pretty cool taking his own pictures with his Toy Story camera. He walks around snapping pictures, and the camera says quotes from the movie, maybe when gets a little older he can get a big boy camera that actually takes pictures!
My two Huskies! We went on to dinner on Friday night with my family since Aunt Deuce was up visiting from OSU, and Crew wanted to wear his football shirt. So for fun, Brodes got to wear his too.

It is not very often that Crew gets left out of ANYTHING... After he is done with his dinner he is right there next to Brody for his. Crew showing off his crazy cheeser smile. I have so many pictures of me when I was little with that same face...

The favorite time of the evening, bath time!! Crew is getting better with sharing his toys, but I can't leave them alone, Brody has gotten knocked over a few times by his aggressive big brother.

Wellness Appointment AND...

Today we had Brody's 9 month doctor's appointment. Everything went great, I just brought a few of my concerns with his eating and sleeping patterns. He got one shot, Hep B, and he screamed for 5 seconds and then he was happy again!
He is right where he needs to be developmentally and physically for his age. He was 21.5 lbs (60%) and 29.5 inches (85%). Tall and average. :)
He is scooting all over the place and is starting to do the "sidewinder" like Crew did. Just crawls on his side and pulls his knees in.
AND... He still has an ear infection, which according to his charts this would be his 6th one. Being in and out of that place for his eyes, ears, and whatever I had lost count, and the doctor wasn't too happy about this being his 4th dose of Augmentin (strong antibiotic), 4 months in a row. So we are trying another antibiotic to help out his poor guy, maybe he could sleep? He still wakes up screaming at nights, I wonder why!!!
SO... My doctor also sent in a referral to the ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist and most likely Brody will have to have tubes in his ears. I wish they would have done it at the same time as his eyes! So we will see after my appointment with them on the time line, and how much longer they would like to wait. Crew had his tubes at 14 months after like 9 ear infections.
My boys definitely have had their share of surgeries/illness, wonder where they get that from? Chris just blames me for all the bad stuff of course, and he takes credit for all the good, typical.
Anyway, hopefully we can get things completely turned around for Brodes, he is just too happy of a guy to be so miserable all the time!

9 Months Old!

Brody is 9 months old today! I thought for sure that he would be crawling by today because he has been SO close for SO long! He has continued to be such a happy and loving little boy. It is so great to have him and Crew at the ages they are, to see them interact and play it has been so fun!Brody is really enjoying bath time, and especially loves it when Crew joins him. He splashes and giggles and gets all worked up. When Crew isn't in the bath with him, he gets on his tummy and slides around like a fish...
Brody pretty much likes to play with all of Crew's toys too, he loves to chew on all the animals, tractors, and fencing that goes with his barn set.
SO BIG! He is rolling and scooting everywhere and sometimes gets frustrated if he can't get there fast enough. He is also really starting to get sad when I leave him, and if he doesn't recognize someone he gets really upset when they try to hold him. But if I am around, he is so happy and interactive with people. He is getting quite vocal and loves to yell and grunt, and mixes in a few dadadadadas. In the last few days he also has this really strong and fast "wave" that he does at people, or just for fun! :)
His "fangers", it is pretty funny, whenever we show people they think it is hilarious. To me it seems like it is somewhat normal because Crew had them, I had them, my brother had them, and Chris' brother also had them.
Too bad he doesn't like to use his teeth to eat, he is still drinking bottles every 3 hours during the day but only usually eats 2 things of baby food, and I have to trick him to get him to eat normally. He still will wake up most nights too, but that is probably directly related to the fact that he just doesn't eat that much.
We try to go for runs/walks in the stroller every chance we can these days. Today we went to the park and met up with some friends. It is a great way to get out of the house after nap time and before it is time for dinner, I love this nicer weather :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Naughty Crew... Putting Brody to bed last night and I come down to find Crew on the counter and eating the frosting off all the cupcakes that Memi/Papa got him for Valentines Day. You can see he left a little trail of cupcake liners on the floor and after he would lick the frosting off of each one he would put that cake part back in the case.

Love to wrestle...

Chris worked on Valentine's Day so the boys and I celebrated together. :)

Kate's Shower

Kate was able to come home for a couple days this weekend from Milwaukee so that all of her friends and family could come to Seattle to give her a shower for baby Rid. It was so much fun to get a lot of us CWU vball girls together again, and be able to see Kate pregnant. :)
Kate showing off her setter skills.

Me and Kate, she is only taller than me because she is wearing 6 inch heals, no joke, she is 7 months pregnant wearing heals that big! Kate is having a boy, just like all of us other girls, it must have been something in the water in Ellensburg!

Surgery Day

Brody's surgery for his clogged tear ducts went great today! We got to Seattle at 6:30 am and he went back for surgery at 7:30. The procedure only lasted about 10 minutes and then they came and got us. In the waiting room I could hear his first cry and I knew everything was okay. What a relief! Even though this is a quick procedure anytime you put a baby/child under there are risks and of course Chris and I were very anxious and nervous.
Right now he is still having bloody tears and some blood come from his nose a little bit. They say that within the week it should be all cleared up and we should know if the surgery actually worked. It has a 90% success rate. The doctor was very glad we had the procedure I guess his right eye was completely clogged and his left eye was very tight. So we just hope it works!!
Thank you to everyone who kept us in your prayers, Brody is very lucky to have some many people that love him!

That's Fun!

We had a GREAT family weekend with Chris not working... On Saturday Josh, Stacey and Cole came over to hang out. Crew had a blast chasing Josh around, and as the picture shows really didn't leave him alone. One of Crew's favorite things to say lately is "that's fun," and he says it ALL the time. Or when I pick him up from somewhere, he always tells me "Fun Tara's" (after daycare) right when we get in the car.
That night we went to the girls basketball game at the high school, Sehome was playing Lynden, and Stacey coaches for Sehome, so it worked out for them to come and hang out for the day.
No matter how many times I took this picture it was impossible to have them all looking... Brodes is so excited :)
Cole and Brody, they are both days away from crawling. They act so much the same it is so weird. Both are really calm, happy, and content babies, seeming to master things always at the same time/age. The best thing about it is that they are too little to fight, so they just sit there and play with toys :)

I had to add this picture too, nothing like a little brotherly love wrestling.....
On Sunday after church we had another chance to go bowling with a guy that Chris works with, they have a boy that is Crew's age, just when I thought last weekend was crazy enough we went again. As Crew would say "that's fun!!" So not a lot of down time this weekend again, but it was nice to spend it all together.

**Prayer request: please keep Brody in your prayers over the next couple of days, he will be having his eye surgery on Wednesday.**

Super Bowl '09

To top off our busy weekend Crew and I stopped off at Court, Shane, and Kyle's super bowl party in Bow. Courtney had watched Brody for me while we were at Mickey so we came back and got to hang out with everyone for awhile.
Here is Crew with two of the Claeys' girls, Finnley and Hayden.
Cole and Brody. They had fun together and showing off their new teeth and scooting moves...

We finally got home at 6:30 on Sunday night after being gone ALL weekend. I am totally exhausted but it was a lot of fun too. We are hopefully going to take it easy the next couple days now that Chris will have day off...

Meeska Mouska MICKEY MOUSE

On Sunday Crew, my mom, Kassi, Jeff, Taylor and Lane went down to Everett to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live Tour! This past September Kassi had seen a commercial about it and so we called in early to get pre-sale tickets. We were front row 15-20 feet from the stage. I got 3 tickets now knowing what Chris' schedule would be, he had to work so my mom said she would go to help me control wild man :) The show had Mickey Mouse and gang, Little Einsteins, Tigger and Pooh, and Handy Manny!
Crew, Mickey, and Nana
The stage......
We got there about an hour before the show so we could walk around and check out all the festivities. Crew wanted everything they were selling, we did end up picking up a few fun things for him.
Waiting "patiently" for the show to start.

Crew and Lane, they were together all weekend! For Lane's birthday the night before I had gotten him and Crew matching Mickey shirts to wear for the concert.

Taylor and Lane.
We had about 20 feet separating us from the stage so the boys ran around and danced and roughed each other before and during the concert. Crew is going through (continuing) to be so rough, he is always having to run up against people and tackle, and pull at them. Good thing Lane can give him a taste of his own medicine back too

Me and Crew during the show, he didn't exactly want his picture with me, I wonder why??? :)

In AWE! These boys were numb when the show started and loved every second of it. They wouldn't allow flash photography when the show began so the rest of the pictures aren't great.

Little Einsteins!
Tigger, Pooh, and Darby!

MICKEY MOUSE!!
Mickey Mouse and Minnie
Donald and Goofy

The "Tools"

The show lasted for about 80 min, which was perfect for little kids. I am glad I got the chance to take Crew and for us to be so close to the action. It was another long day though, and next time we go Chris will have to come with me. He really missed out :)
