10 Weeks....SURPRISE!

Well if you hadn't noticed the extra ticker on the right side of my blog, you might be a little surprised (as we were) to know that Chris and I are expecting another baby! Now that the shock of it all is starting to sink in, we are excited to welcome baby Price #3 around October 22. Crew will be 3 1/2 and Brody will be 1 1/2, so I will have my hands full to say the least. I lay awake at night trying to imagine what our days will look like and how I will manage the three of them being so close in age.
Right now we are in the process of deciding on what is the best option for my teaching and coaching jobs for next year, and trying to figure out the best schedule. I would like to work up until I have the baby for sure, but my last two pregnancies both had preterm labor and contractions 2 months leading up to the end, so it might be hard, so we will see.
I am feeling good, no throwing up and major nausea like the past two pregnancies, which is GREAT. That has been replaced with bad headaches and I am always tired which is pretty normal. I am trying to just get regular workouts in which seems to help some.
Here we go AGAIN!

Weekend in Bow

This weekend we met up with some college friends at Courtney and Shane's house in Bow. We try to get together a few times a year and whenever we do we have such a great time. All of us girls played volleyball together at Central and the husbands just so happen to get a long just as well as all of us. We missed you Care and Dave (Colt, and baby #2 too)!

All the boys in the hot tub

Tyler and Chris had a lot of dad duty with Jaymin and Crew! Crew and Jaymin were so excited to see each other and they acted either like best buds, or they were fighting, hitting, and pushing. They kept the house pretty wild!

It was hard to get a picture of all the kids together, Crew, Jaymin, Wyatt, Brody, and the one and only girl (so far) Miss Rilyn.

This picture isn't great, but I don't have very many pictures of us girls, go figure, Tracey, Randi, Jess and Court.

With March Madness going on, the boys were pretty glued to the TV or at the Casino all weekend. This was their idea of watching the kids :) All of us girls made sure to get out and we went and got pedicures, coffee, and did a little shopping one afternoon.

Can we all just get along? Sharing was a hard thing this weekend, and even with everyone having their own snacks, there seemed to be some tears and time outs on a regular basis. Boys will be boys!
Wyatt and all of his expressions!

Chris and Brody

Brody and Rilyn checking each other out. Miss Rilyn is going to have pick with all of these boys, so far the closest in running are Brody and Wyatt!

Jess and Dale

Me and my Brodes
Okay... So where do I start with this picture? For the weekend Tracey and Tyler had a fantastic idea of having us 5 couples do a gourmet dinner. Since Tyler is such an amazing cook, him and Tracey put together a menu with some gourmet recipes. Us girls went to the store to get all the ingredients and when we got back we drew names for our partners. Each couple was given a part to the 5 course meal... So back to the picture. Chris and Tracey were partners and actually got the easier part, the salad. Chris has really never cooked before besides the basics and Tracey knew that and gave him the sole job of just making sure he cooked the bacon. Well if you know Chris he can get to talking... The bacon got burnt to a crisp, it was so funny! He had to run to the store to buy more, and Tracey finished the salad. He probably won't live that one down for awhile.

Tony and Shane testing it out...
Great job on the bacon Chris! On future gourmet dinners, we will have to find a "special" job for Chris.

Tyler and Chris

We all had some good laughs over dinner!

Chowing down, what an amazing meal, we were pretty proud of ourselves. I think that Dale and I did the best work on the potatoes though!! :)
Jess, Court, Randi

Crew and Jaymin

Happy Brody taking a bath in the laundry room sink.

Overall it was a GREAT weekend! It is getting more and more crowded with all of our kids, and I don't think anyone really slept well, with the kids waking up throughout the night, and staying up late having longs talks for us girls, and late nights at the casino for the boys. I can't wait for the next weekend!! Love you guys!

Catch Me If You Can!

So I just have to share this story...

Yesterday we went to Safeway to get some groceries, and Crew is always excited to go to the store because he gets to "drive" the car that is attached to the shopping cart, he gets a cookie at the bakery because they hand them out free to kids, and if he is good he gets to ride the horse that you pay 50 cents to ride. We talk about it the whole way to the store, he is so funny about it.
So we get there and I am loading Brody into the cart and Crew runs ahead so that double doors are closing after him, he turns around because I am telling him to stop and wait for me and to get into the shopping cart car. He then looks at me with the most mischievous look, and then turns and runs full speed into the grocery store. Holy Cow! So I saw which isle he headed down so I am walking very fast to try to catch up, well he wasn't down that isle and I am almost running with my huge car cart throughout the whole store looking for him. Everyone was like, can I help you find someone, and I was like "yeah my 2 year old is on the loose"! Finally I see him running towards me yelling mommy cookie, I got my cookie!! He had run to the back of the store in the far corner to the bakery and grabbed his own cookie. What a naughty boy! So I go back to the bakery with him and the lady was just dying laughing because he just ran right behind the counter and was asking for the cookies. Where did he get his manners anyway???
Only Crew...

4 days of...

  • Vacation for mom from work (congrats to the girls basketball team for taking 1st at state!)
  • Dad working everyday nights!
  • The start of potty training and being homebound! (thank goodness for grandparents so I could run few errands and get some workouts in)
  • Many fun times with mom and her boys and some visitors! :)
On Thursday, the day we started with potty training, and Stacey and Cole came out for a visit, which was a lot of fun to see them. They got to witness first hand a little potty training disaster, Crew ended up going through 8 underwear in one day. Let's just say I was ready to throw in the towel after day 1, but I pulled some patience from somewhere to give day two a try.

Cole and Brody got to play with a lot of toys together and tried their best to stay clear of Crew, who of course would not let the two of them be the center of attention.
The first of many times to wrestle together and just be boys!

Brody always seems to give me the best smiles when he is eating!

Where is Crew? Crew is constantly running all over the house trying to hide from me, and always wants me to look for him. This is not a good game to play when we are working on potty training and he can't really leave my site, or he might go pee in one of his hiding spots!
Just like Crew, Brody loves to play with balls and shoot them in the basket, everyday he gets more and more comfortable crawling and pulling himself up onto things. He now leaves a room without me knowing, I better do a better job of hiding some things that he can get into...
Where's Crew and Brody?Oh here they are. Crew is always trying to pull the blanket over him and Brody, and it makes me so nervous because Brody gets all twisted up in the blanket, but he loves it! They roll all over the living room in the blanket. Brody is definitely "broken in " by Crew. The poor guy!
Brody has been doing great, his eye is still gunky at times, but overall he is sleeping better through the night and eating okay.
Day 2 of potty training: only 3 underwear, but Crew only goes when I force him to sit down, doesn't have that sense that he needs to go before it is too late. Also you should know that we have a lot of bribes for him, candy and presents!!
Day 3 and 4: a few accidents each day, but I have to follow him around like a hawk, and it is very tiring, especially since he is on the move and I have Brody to take care of. He still does not show any initiative to tell me he needs to go, so we have many battles of him crying because I make him sit on toilet, sometimes for more than 20 minutes.
Wow, what a LONG couple of days! Since he has daycare tomorrow we are going to go the pull up route and hopefully he will starting wanting to go on the potty, not mommy wanting him to go!

The Chase is ON!

On Sunday we were out at Price's having lunch, and Brody got to show off his crawling moves as he was trying to get Duke.
Brody needs to learn how to get quicker, because as soon as he would get close Duke would take off running, he learned the first time when Crew was a baby!

Duke thinking he is safe under the chair... Go Brodes, get him!

Crew wanted his picture with Duke, so he actually posed, too bad Duke wasn't looking too... :)

It's Official, Brody is CRAWLING!

I can't believe Brody is finally crawling, for over a month he has been so close, and the last few weeks he has been army crawling everywhere. Yeah Brodes!! He got everywhere he wanted pretty quick before, but now he is really on the move.
On another good note he slept through the night last night, I think that was his 8th time?? :)
