Finger Painting?

Lets just say my two wonderful boys definitely keep me on my toes. I went upstairs to grab some warmer gear for our bike ride, and within that amount of time I walked downstairs to some amazing art work!
Who could have guessed that Desitin (diaper rash cream) would make a pretty paste all over my coffee table? Yes Crew had grabbed the tube out of the drawer and squirted it all over, and Brody and him both were smearing and slapping it everywhere, and laughing. I hadn't even ever seen Crew play with that tube before, he must have had a special plan!
Wow, if I wouldn't have been so mad, I could have taken a picture! Never a dull moment here!

Haircuts, finally!

Brody having his very first hair cut, which was really past due. He had long pieces in the front and back, and he was starting to look pretty funny! (Before picture)
What a handsome young man, he looks so much older with his new buzz cut. He is enjoying his very first sucker too, he loved it! He did pretty good the whole time, he started to cry a bit at the end, but nothing like his brother!

You would think Crew was being hurt really bad, nope, just does not like getting his haircut. I dread bringing him in!
He even gets away with not wearing a cape so he gets hair all over. I am sure those people in the salon are very excited once we leave! Doesn't he look so cute though, what a terror :)
Brodes chilling with his sucker while Crew was getting his hair cut.
Crew was striped down to his pull ups by the time we are out of there, he was too "itchy"....

Brody is now officially 11 months! He loves crawling around, pulling himself up, and walking around furniture now. He is always on his tip toes, so I think it will still be awhile before he starts walking. He keeps up with Crew just fine though! He loves coming in the kitchen and pulling everything out of the drawers and helping me unload the dishwasher.
His favorite thing to do though is play catch or chase the ball around with Crew. They get pretty aggressive, but Brody is really starting to hold his own.

Sick House

What an interesting past few days in our house. It all started with Chris coming home from work late Friday night puking with the flu. He was then sick for the next 3 days barely even able to stand up very long and get out of bed. Saturday Crew and Brody both developed bad snot noses and typical cold symptoms. Brody on Sunday starting coughing, which surprisingly was his first cough. I didn't take the kids to church because it being Easter Sunday I knew the nursery was going to be full and did not need two sick kids there.

As the day progressed Brody's cough and nose, and breathing kept getting worse and worse. At Price's I started to get worried because it just sounded so bad and he seemed so miserable. So I called the on call nurse and she gave me a few things to try. Those really didn't do much and by the time we got home that night, Brody's temp was 103, and Tylenol wasn't breaking it, and he was wheezing really bad. Called the nurse back, she listened to him on the phone, and told me to get him into the ER now. It scared me so bad!

So to make a long night short, we ended up with chest x-rays, a breathing treatment, and a test for RSV virus. To my surprise, he tested positive for RSV (http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/lung/rsv.html) which is not good. His temperature really didn't get any better while we were there either so we had him taking Tylenol and IB meds back to back. We just need to be very careful with him over this next week while his lungs fight off this virus. Poor guy, he is doing better, but is still very raspy and breathing harder. To top off RSV, he also has a double ear infection, which also means he will be having ear tubes put in next month.

This boy has had a rough year, hopefully things start to improve ASAP! Even through this all he is still so happy and smiley. He is such a joy, we love him so much!
Brody getting his breathing treatment, he actually loved it, he kept biting and sucking on it.

Family Easter Parties

On Easter day we went out to Price's in the afternoon for dinner. Because it was raining so hard we did the egg hunt in the house. Brody was just mostly interested in crawling after Jordan and Duke.
Crew playing at Papa and Mimi's.

On Tuesday night we got together with the Roberts and since it was such a beautiful night we were able to go outside and find some eggs. Crew was getting good at finding eggs at this point, his 4th hunt!
Look high and low...

Overall we had two great family Easter's, it was nice to get everyone together and celebrate this very special holiday. Our salvation for Jesus dying for our sins and rising again!

Easter Fun

The final product, Crew's finished Easter Eggs, or "Ester Eggs" as he would call them. We decorated one for each family member, and wrote their names on them.
Mom and Crew dying the eggs.

Crew actually did a good job with the eggs, he thought it was pretty cool!

After we got finished with the eggs we went to this auction for Relay for Life and they had a ton of activities for kids. Crew got to go on an egg hunt, and got to ride in the horse wagon. It was such a nice day!
Crew (left) and Brody (right) Easter baskets. We did an Easter egg hunt in the house because it was POURING down rain. Crew even helped me fill the sports and camo eggs with candy.

Papa's New Puppy

Papa Charlie got a new springer puppy and brought it over to show us. Her name is Jordan and the boys were very excited!
Brody did not quite understand how to be gentle with the face, and kept grabbing and swatting her. I wonder where Brody learned how to do that? :)

Nice puppy...
They are going to have so much fun visiting Papa and Mimi's house with Jordan, lots of fun times this spring and summer with all the dogs and playing outside! Someday we hope to get a puppy, but not at this house! :)

Seattle Trip

Since Chris and I are both off this week we decided to go to Seattle with the kids, and do a few things. We got up early Monday morning and drove down to the Children's Museum in Seattle Center. What a GREAT place for kids, they were having a Curious George theme going on in one of the rooms, which Crew probably spent 2 hours in. It had the whole Curious George village and he could actually do everything Curious George does. Check out the link, it is a very cool place! http://www.thechildrensmuseum.org/

Crew and George!
The best part of this place is you can touch and be rough with everything. The rule is "No adults without kids supervision..."

They had costumes for you to put on to pretend to actually be doing real jobs, Crew is building here.

George's spaceship slide...

They even had a messy room where kids got to explore textures, shapes, and do some finger painting with different objects.
My little artist :)
Crew even got to work on his golfing skills.

The boys rocking in the boat. Brody was in the stroller most of the time, he was coming down with whatever Crew had. When we had left that morning, he had thrown up part of his bottle, and when we got out of the car to go the museum he had pooped all the way up his back. :( He is doing great now though!
So much to explorer for all ages, and many years to come.

Making the ball rise by pushing different buttons.
Making mom a pretty picture, he is getting good at drawing circles. He loves his shapes!

Mom and Cruiser

Curious Crew looking out George's rocket ship.

Crew did not want to leave, so he had to say good bye to George. What a cool place!!

Afterwards we went and got lunch and walked around for awhile, what a beautiful day out! Crew found this guitar guy very interesting and was dancing to his music. Chris gave Crew a dollar to put in his guitar case. Crew had a blast!

The fountain show....

After that we went back and checked in at Embassy Suites, and we went swimming and had a lot of fun running around the hotel and looking at all the cool fish. Crew was especially interested in riding up and down on the elevators and pushing all the buttons. We are planning to go back another day this spring and check out the zoo too. It was a great family trip, so nice to get out of town for a few days!

Neighborhood FUN

This weekend has been so nice outside, and it has been to get some things done this weekend around the yard. Chris took some vacation days since it was my spring break, and we have some fun things planned.

On Sunday night we got together with our neighbors, Rob, Joelle, Jack and Jovie to BBQ and let the boys run around and play.

Crew and Jack having fun on the back of Rob's car, watching the dad's play basketball.

Jack has this cool 4 wheel drive jeep that they ride around on. We have a lot of empty lots in our development so it is perfect of for them to cruise around. Jack is older than Crew, and he is the driver ;)
Crew and Brody in their Easter Polo's, aka Burt and Ernie!

Brodes hanging out stealing Crew's chocolate milk, good thing Crew wasn't around to see it!

Happy 5 Year Anniversary!

I can't believe it has been 5 years since the day that Chris and I got married! Wow time flies and I guess you can say we have been busy... The past 5 years have brought a lot of good times, and change!
Looking back I don't think I would have ever imagined that I would be pregnant 3 out of the first 5 anniversary's, but I can't imagine life any differently. We are so blessed with our two amazing boys, and baby #3 this fall. God is good!
Both of us have great jobs that we love, and have a lot to be thankful for. We are going to celebrate our 5 year anniversary in Vegas at the end of April with some our friends, Josh and Stacey. This will be my first time going, and we are really excited!
