Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

What a year to reflect on, and so much to be thankful for with our three healthy boys.  Never a dull moment in this house!  Although it's always a work in progress and doing our best with schedules, and raising our boys, we survived the craziness, and we feel truly blessed this season.  Thank you to everyone that has been a part of this year, we love you all!  We are excited to see what God has in store for our family in 2012.

We celebrated a VERY LOW key New Year's, which is exactly what we needed.  Chris was on nights, and selfishly I just wanted to relax and not have any ciaos (well not more than the normal).  So Sarah and I had dinner with the kids and we just played if off like any other night, and kids were in bed by 7:30!  What a perfect New Years!  :)  I am not quite as fun as in my babysitting days where I would take the kids and bang pots and pans around the neighborhood, pretty boring over here.. :)

Family Christmas TIme

We are very lucky to have families that we enjoy spending time with....so it makes Christmas Eve and Christmas day very fun and relaxing.  Each family has their own traditions and the kids love their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!

Can't beat Christmas morning showing up in comfy clothes, brunch, and watching all the kids being so excited to open gifts and spend time with everyone.  We had a great time, like always!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

We generally pick our own time to celebrate Jesus' birthday, which the kids call it and think it is pretty cool all the parties Jesus gets, (Crew: but he loves us so much, more than anything, so we have to celebrate it a lot!!) in between all the other family gatherings and Chris' work schedule.  This year we celebrated Christmas Eve morning and they even got pick two gifts to open early, and they were quite the hit!  It is getting more fun every year to see how excited they are.  They get very into the big countdown and know exactly how many days it is until Chtistmas.
Once Kyler opened up his cars, he was more than happy and could have been happy with those for the rest of the day.  That boy loves him some cars and is always walking around with his arms loaded up and crashing them all over the place.....

We finished off with some yummy breakfast casserole, chocolate milk, and lots of time playing with the new toys.  Can't wait to continue adding our own family traditions to this special time together! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

Whistler Trip

It has been Price Family tradition to go up to Whistler since college, and although we don't make it every year, it is always fun to go and get away for a few days right before Christmas....I have a love/hate relationship with Whistler because of the nasty drive combined with mine/kids car sickness, but this year was a SUCCESS!  A little Dranamine and Bonine actually worked, and we had a relatively relaxing driving portion of our trip.  KyKy stayed back with Nana, Papa, and Deuce so that we could just take the older boys and have some focused time with them.  The boys were counting down the days until our 'cation, and just having the two of them there kept us plenty busy with lots to do!

A quick little 2 day trip was a great idea and got us some quality family time.  The boys got some sledding in, loved seeing all the people, dogs especially, long walks, played on the kids toy area, and even went out for a nice dinner that they got to watch the train come around and around.  I know they will have some fun times to look forward too when they can start taking snowboarding or ski lessons, maybe next year!  Chris did get to go up snowboarding one day, and I got to go shopping...

They had a cool place set up for kids at the convention center with golfing, jump houses, and other activities for kids.  Perfect!

Next year we will have to bring Ky Ky, he was definitely missed!  Cole, Becca, Kader, and baby #2 too!

Tooth Fairy & Favorite Gifts

Crew surprised us all by pulling out his very own first tooth!  So excited and knew right away that he couldn't wait for the tooth fairy to come.  He cooperated more than normal on the bedtime routine, and told me "mom I am going to sleep the whole night, because I want the tooth fairy to come!"  I even heard him yelling at Brody to quit talking and go to sleep, he was not going to screw up his chances of missing that fairy! Guess what, that tooth fairy came and brought him a whopping $2~ now he is saving up for a new Wii game, he is going to have to lose a lot of teeth, and do some big chores over the next month or so to get to that goal... :)

I got a little teary when I opened the boys gifts from school, it really meant so much, and I will honestly treasure these things forever.  I can't wait to fill up our tree of "handmade" ornaments, the best kind out there!

BoBo's had a present for us too, and still goes to the fridge on a daily basis, and says "I made that for you..do you like it mom?"   So sweet, of course buddy, I love it!!
