Jingle Bell....RUN...and UGLY Sweaters!

Through Chris' work we signed up for the Jingle Bell run last weekend, I have been training for my half in February so I thought this a was perfect length (5K) just for fun, and especially since Chris was doing it too.  We NEVER run together because we are always switching off with watching the kids, and plus he runs way faster than me, and who wants to push themselves that hard anyway? :) 

So it was a date...7:00 am dropped the kids off at Nana's and we had a nice, relaxing, quiet, and enjoyable drive into Bellingham.  Can't remember the last time we ventured outside of Lynden for anything without the kids and just the two of us!  We ran into a lot of people we knew, and even though we weren't very festive this year, next year we will get more dressed up in the holiday jingle bell spirit.  We finished at like 27 minutes or so, which was under a nine minute mile which was just fine for me.  Yeah for some quality time, even if it was running! :) We followed up with a romantic coffee date (ha) at Becca's Woods, and a Costco run, what a productive morning!

That night we had a neighborhood friends party, where we wore ugly Christmas sweaters, did white elephant gifts, a delicious homemade dinner made by ours truly Mrs. Day, and some tasty apps by Sarah and I, some "Loaded Questions" and lots of laughs, makes the perfect night!  Don't forget babysitters for all the kiddos.  :)

HAHAHAHA.  Such a fun night, our neighborhood ROCKS, we missed Luke and Tory, they have some making up to do!
