We Did It!

On Sunday, Shannon, Stacey, and I completed the Bellingham Bay Half Marathon! It was a lot of fun, and something we hope to now do every year. We finished the 13.1 mile race in 2:47, which was pretty good for speed walking, we ran very little. We all have bad knees which keeps us from running the whole thing, I guess that is what happens when you play college sports...
We warmed up two weeks ago with the 15k (9.3 miles), which I am glad we did to get a better feel of what this would be like.

4 months!

On Tuesday Brody had his 4 month appointment, and he did good, except for the shots he screamed! (go figure) He is not as big as Crew was at this age, and it is so fun that they are so different in so many different ways. Brody was 16 lbs 14 oz, and 25 something inches... So he is in the 70-90% in the different areas.
I had Brody's 4 month pictures taken the other day and I am so happy on how they all turned out! He did great considering it was his nap time :)

The last couple times we have had Crew's pictures taken he has not wanted ANYTHING to do with it... Well now that it was Brody's turn he wanted to be in every picture. Some of them turned out cute. I love this feet one.

Trying to reach and grab his mama who was trying to get him to smile :)
Precious baby
Big smiles!
Brotherly love :)
Another big bruise/scrape on Crew's head. This one happened when we were at the grocery store and he was driving the car on the front of the shopping cart. He likes to stick his head out of the car and be goofy... Well right when I was taking a sharp corner (those things suck to steer by the way!) he stuck his head out of the car and I slammed his head into a vegetable Creight. Poor kid, 20 head bruises down, many more to come!!!
More of the toesies

Crew wanted to get in his diaper and pose like Brody...

Seahawks Game Day

Brody, Crew, and Cole all in their Seahawks gear on Sunday. Josh, Stacey, and Cole came over to watch the game and hang out on Sunday afternoon.
Stacey and I and our boys. We were just getting ready to go on a long walk (11 miles), because we have our 1/2 marathon this weekend. Which we will mostly be fast walking by the way. I did a 15k a week ago so that was fun too.
Brody and Cole, they are going to have so many pictures together.

Friday Football!

Crew was all excited to go the football game on Friday, and he even got a Lynden Lions paw tattoo on his cheek, he was pretty proud to come and show it off. He kept making trips to visit mom and the kids in the concession stand.
Proud dad taking care of the boys, and watching the game!

Here is Cole and Crew, Crew spent the whole night running around and Chuck (Papa Charlie) and Cole chased after him. He wanted to be where ever the lion was, but he was still acting like he was scared of it too!

Brody was so happy all night as long as Chris held him. He stayed nice and warm in his winter hat. I ran the concessions and was cooking hot dogs and pizza the whole night!! Fun times :)

First volleyball game of the season!

Lynden had it's first league vball game last night. Lynden won pretty easily in 3 games. Here is Grandma Viv with Brody and Crew in their matching green/gold spirited polos that I found this summer. Grandma has been a huge help this year already with watching the boys, thanks Grandma!
Crew and Maddy. Maddy has been helping me with Crew at volleyball games ever since Crew was Brody's age. She is so much help, and keeps him entertained. I wasn't quite sure how he was going to be at the games this year. Last year I could barely keep him from going on the court. This year he clapped and jumped and had a great time dancing to the music and actually watching some of the game. He kept looking for Duece (Jessi) and saying "Owie fall" everything they would hit the ground :)
I also let him pick out his own toys and he packed them in his little Lynden Lions duffle bag, so him and Maddy slid cars down the bleachers for awhile. He even got to take his very own money out of his pocket and buy a sucker with Papa :) During starting lineups they had to go down by the student section to catch candy from Aunt Duece, and Maddy's sister is Alayna the setter for the team.
Brody was passed around, which was great break for me to be able to watch the game. He did awesome, just chewed on his toys and blew bubbles :) Papa is taking his turn entertaining here.

Brothers...

Brody is really taking interest in Crew these days, he follows Crew with his eyes everywhere he goes. So finally I thought I would just put his chair next to Crew playing. Brody was so content!

Crew was even interacting with him, showing him the animal pieces.
True concentration!
Update on Brody: Brody is doing much better, he is finally eating again, and his antibiotics are helping his multiple infections. He has really grown this last week, and barely squeezed into this outfit which was skin tight and didn't snap all the way. He has outgrown all of his summer rompers, and with the weather so nice I was desperate :)

Weekend Fun :)

On Saturday night we went to the corn maze with Kassi and Jeff and kids. Crew and Lane had SO MUCH FUN! They get along so great and love to tackle, run, and giggle at each other.
They kept taking turns trying to slide into that orange pastic fence behing them, they think they are so funny!
We got through the corn maze in 15 minutes which was pretty good, considering we let the boys lead us where ever they wanted to go.
Corn stalks make great weapons!
Taking turns pushing eachother, at least they are sharing by switching off :)

Running back and forth, back and forth! After we got done with the corn maze we all went out to Milt's Pizza in town, I think we might have to make this a yearly tradition...

Busy with my boys!

It has been busy around here taking care of the boys with my new schedule and trying to fit everything in. Crew is getting over being sick, still has a very runny nose. Brody on the other hand, I finally took him to the doctor today and he is now on three different medications for ear, nose and eye infections, cough, constipation, and eczema. The poor little guy, he has not been feeling well, and he doesn't sleep very well at night's getting up 3-4 times. Being on soy milk, being constipated, and not feeling well has cut down his eating to only 3-4 oz.
So hopefully with his new medications we can get him back up to par! I need some sleep and I would love my happy little guy back!

Brody is getting really good with his hand/eye coordination and loves to swing and bat at things in front of him, and does an okay job with holding toys on his own. He still loves to babble, constantly talking at me, he is super sweet.
Crew is ON THE GO! His new favorite word is "hurry" because he wants to run everywhere and get there quick! My cousin has this thing called a plasma car, and he can fly on this thing, in fact he goes so fast he should probably be wearing a helmet. It is something that even adults can ride and when he gets more advanced he can get it going and then put his feet up on it and wiggle it to make it keep going. He loved playing on it so much at my cousins we decided to get him one. He gets frustrated with his ride on toys because he can't go very fast. We basically have to run to keep up with him on this! Watch out :)
I am definitely finding ways to multi task. Trying to keep up on the many loads of laundry, I have Brody in the sock basket as I am trying to get caught up. I do at least two loads a day and it seems I am still behind, and very behind trying to put things away again.
Brody is getting really good at sitting now too, and will sit in this chair for about five minutes before he gets mad. He also will go in the exersaucer if I put a blanket around him too.

We went to this really fun BBQ this weekend for the Husky/Cougar games, and Crew and Brody have jerseys, it would have been the cutest pictures... I have been really bad about taking pictures lately.
