Mama School!

I am back to school this week and it has been a little crazy getting out of the house in the mornings. Although I can't complain too much because Chris will be home a lot of days so I won't have to drop the kids off. Here is the 1st day of school picture!

I have been really busy with my FBLA students too, and we are getting ready for fall concessions and activities.
Crew loves to come to Mama's school, and he was very helpful with the girls (Julia and Krista) taking inventory. He kept counting one, two, one, two, one, two and throwing everything back into the boxes that they had taken out.
Marcia from Squalicum, is now one of our new business teachers and I AM SO EXCITED. She is a lot of fun, and great to work with!

Football Season!

Our house is now in football mode, with college and high school football starting, fall is officially here :) Crew has his "football jersey" on, it is just perfect with the green/gold colors. He never wants to take that shirt off.

In football watching position. Brody is in chill mode and loves watching the games already too!

End of Summer?

We had a really nice weekend before the weather turned to rain this week. Hoping to still have a few more days to enjoy popsicles and our new......
SLIP N SLIDE!! Crew was all about the new slip n slide and had a blast running and sliding. Sometimes he wanted me to help so I would hold his hand and run alongside of him and drag him a long. He would get soaked at the end and say "GAIN" meaning "again". It was a lot of fun!

Back to School

Well summer is officially over! Today I was back at school for meetings, Tuesday is a teacher workday, and Wednesday school starts! I have actually been up to the school 5-6 times this month trying to get things ready and also meeting with my FBLA students to get the year organized, football concessions are right around the corner :).

Being at school today was actually a break, and a lot easier than being at home! Although I am glad I have a balance of both. I am very lucky to be able to work 1/2 days this school year and also be able to spend quality time with Crew and Brody. The balance I have found is the key, I don't think I would be a very good full time stay at home mom, and I would be very sad if I had to work full time with having two young kids. Even though I love my boys dearly, more than anything, having my own thing and outside responsibilities makes me a better rounded person and gives me another focus. Plus I have my wonderful family to help out with the kids (my mom has the boys 1-2 mornings a week, my Grandma and Rachel each have a morning every other week, and Chris will be home 2-3 days) and Tara our daycare person will be on call if needed or if Chris gets called in to work overtime.

I am looking forward to my favorite season, FALL!!! Volleyball games (1st in state??), football games, the cooler weather (I know that is weird), and being home together during the week as a family.

3 Months!

Brody is 3 months old today! Where did the summer go? He is growing so much right now and is such a good baby.

He is smiling A LOT, and acts like we never give him any attention, because you just start talking and he just grins ear to ear.
He is starting to get more rolls too, and over the past 2 weeks has grown a ton. He is now on soy milk which has helped him keep more down and not spit up as much, and cut his fussiness down. I had to wash all of his 6 month sleepers because everything is getting way too small! He is still in size two diapers, but I give him another two weeks in those! He is definitely losing all of his dark hair, there is still some in the back, but it is lightening up.
He is still eating 6 oz every 3 hours, and unfortunately still wakes up two times a night. For awhile he was just getting up once, but nope, he knew mom was going to go back to work, so he is up wanting to eat more.
Here is a picture of him talking or cooing, it is the sweetest thing ever. He coos so much, he will sit and make noises at me for 10 minutes before wants to quit. He can be very loud too, but I just think it is his way to fit in and take some attention from Crew.

Crew has still been really good with him, except yesterday he saw me playing with a lion toy tickling Brody's face, so when I wasn't looking, Crew took the Lion toy (it has hard rattles on it too) and threw it as hard as he could in Brody's face. Brody screamed, and cried so hard, I felt awful. But Crew got pretty upset too knowing that he had made Brody cry. I guess it won't be the last time!

I think those two are going to have so much fun growing up together. It is so fun having two boys, we couldn't be happier :)

Out and About

Getting out of the house with two young kids can be difficult and time consuming, but I have really tried to make a point of planning stuff for most days this summer. So we finally got a chance to go and visit Tanis for awhile on Monday.
We had a lot of fun, and Crew got to play with some new toys! Tanis is getting ready to move down to Seattle and we are going to miss her a lot! She will be finishing up her second and final year of nursing school this year so she is going to be really busy again. The boys love her, she is so good to them!

Happy 25th Birthday Jeff!

Happy Birthday Jeff! This picture was taken a few weeks back when him and his wife Rachel picked up Crew one morning for a tractor show. My brother is the owner of Nice Lawns, and if you notice Crew has a carhart jacket that has Nice Lawns, "Our Lawns are Greener" embroided on it. Jeff and Rachel had gotten that coat for him for his birthday.
Rachel is also going to be helping me with babysitting the boys every once in awhile when I go back to school, so we are really excited about that. Crew loves his Uncle Jeff and Auntie Rae Rae.

Shift Work...

Chris is going to just love me for posting these pictures, but I think they are hilarious!!! For those of you that didn't know, Chris switched jobs at the beginning of June and works for BP (oil refinery). So basically he traded in his dress shirt and tie, for some coveralls, hard hat, and safety goggles. He just completed his 10 weeks of initial training, but will really take him a full three years before he is done with all of it.
Let's just say our lifestyle has changed a little bit.. to say the least. We were use to Chris being around more, he had a VERY flexible schedule popping in and out of the house at his leisure, and not really having a certain time to do anything, unless he had an appointment.
Welcome to shift work Price family! Chris now works either 5 am - 5 pm or 5 pm - 5 am. 12 hour shifts that rotate nights and days, with a 2 month old baby and two year old. Fun times!! So it seems like Chris is either working, or trying to sleep to get caught up or get ready for work.
But on the positive side, it is a GREAT job, with great benefits, and because he works so many hours in one shift he will get more days off.
In fact when Chris applied, there were about 1200 people that applied for only 36 positions, and he got it. We are really proud of him. They really treat their employees great, and there are a lot other family perks too! It will just take some time adjusting. He also works every other weekend too, which will kind of suck when I go back to work.

Fair Week!

This past week we had the fair in town and Kassi and took the kids a day. Crew loved the rides which really didn't surprise me, but I was surprised that he didn't get sick. He has been getting car sick lately on long trips, wonder where he gets that from.., so I thought the rides would get to him but they didn't.
The whole week was high 80's to mid 90's which is really hot for us, so we didn't go back as many days as we would have liked. Chuck and Leslie also took Crew a night to look at all the animals which he thought was really cool.
The big roller coaster!!
They even got to drive cars :)

Taylor was great, as always and kept the boys in line. Crew got a little impatient around nap time, and didn't think it was necessary to wait in line, and wanted to be naughty! So with him hitting and kicking me (aren't 2 year olds fun?) we ended up just staying for a 1/2 day, which was plenty! Him and Lane get along great though and had a lot of fun running around together. My mom had Brody for the day which was a huge help!

Every fair has a carousal right?

"Kidz, Wa Wa, Yea!!"

My cousin's wife, Tara, had all of us cousins over that have kids, plus her sisters that have kids to play on Thursday. They live out on 5 acres and had a trampoline with sprinkler, a pool, and you can see below the huge slip in slide they made that goes down a hill. Crew was so excited to be out there, and play with all the kids. There were at least 15 of them, if not more. 3 of them were boys within a month of his age. The whole way out to their house he kept saying, Mom! Kidz, Wa Wa, YEA!! Let's just say he is still working on sentences and communicating :) But at least he is trying!
The trampoline got pretty crazy at times with all the kids. They got pretty hyped up and started tackling, Crew thought the rest of the time he was suppose to do that. So being a pretty strong/big two year old he started body slamming some other kids which caused some other kids to start fighting... Oops! Oh well, they all had fun, I think Crew is going to really love football someday :)
It is hard to tell from the picture just how long the slip in slide is... This is a huge black tarp, and towards the bottom you can see the regular sized ones that connect. Crew had no problem going down on his stomach, he had a blast!
Crew and Gannon, they are a month apart, and Gannon's brother Gunnar and Brody are only 4 days apart.
Here is Tara and me and Gunnar and Brody.

Birch Bay BBQ

We headed out to Birch Bay to BBQ to hang out with Josh, Stacey, and Cole, some friends of ours who are staying at their cabin this week. We keep trying to get a good family picture of the four of us, and again Crew through a fit when we tried taking his milk cup away... UGH!
Brody was all full of smiles, and did really well considering he is on medication right now for acid reflux, but I think it is helping, which is a good thing :)Chris and Brody :)
Cole and Brody, they are both getting so big and are getting to be pretty close to the same size. Cole is two weeks older than Brody. They sat FOREVER next to each other on the coach just staring at us. Stacey and I took like a million pictures, it was too cute!!
Talk about a prearranged friendship!!
Showing a little love... Too cute!
Crew is a monster compared to these little guys, gotta love the matching pj's. I didn't think I was going to be one of those moms....
Brody played in Cole's bouncer seat, and he is giving his mom a big smile here. He was 11 weeks old yesterday!
Crew just adores Josh, and always asks for him. You can understand why in this picture!
Family of three, Josh, Stacey, and baby Cole.

Double Take?

Here are Brody and Crew's 6 week pictures. You can definitely see a resemblance, which really surprises me because in their random pictures of them at this age they don't look alike this much. They are totally different to me, with very few similarities :)

Birth Annoucement

Here is a copy of the birth annoucement that we got made for Brody. He has grown over 6 pounds and 2 1/2 inches since he has been born.
