4 days of...

  • Vacation for mom from work (congrats to the girls basketball team for taking 1st at state!)
  • Dad working everyday nights!
  • The start of potty training and being homebound! (thank goodness for grandparents so I could run few errands and get some workouts in)
  • Many fun times with mom and her boys and some visitors! :)
On Thursday, the day we started with potty training, and Stacey and Cole came out for a visit, which was a lot of fun to see them. They got to witness first hand a little potty training disaster, Crew ended up going through 8 underwear in one day. Let's just say I was ready to throw in the towel after day 1, but I pulled some patience from somewhere to give day two a try.

Cole and Brody got to play with a lot of toys together and tried their best to stay clear of Crew, who of course would not let the two of them be the center of attention.
The first of many times to wrestle together and just be boys!

Brody always seems to give me the best smiles when he is eating!

Where is Crew? Crew is constantly running all over the house trying to hide from me, and always wants me to look for him. This is not a good game to play when we are working on potty training and he can't really leave my site, or he might go pee in one of his hiding spots!
Just like Crew, Brody loves to play with balls and shoot them in the basket, everyday he gets more and more comfortable crawling and pulling himself up onto things. He now leaves a room without me knowing, I better do a better job of hiding some things that he can get into...
Where's Crew and Brody?Oh here they are. Crew is always trying to pull the blanket over him and Brody, and it makes me so nervous because Brody gets all twisted up in the blanket, but he loves it! They roll all over the living room in the blanket. Brody is definitely "broken in " by Crew. The poor guy!
Brody has been doing great, his eye is still gunky at times, but overall he is sleeping better through the night and eating okay.
Day 2 of potty training: only 3 underwear, but Crew only goes when I force him to sit down, doesn't have that sense that he needs to go before it is too late. Also you should know that we have a lot of bribes for him, candy and presents!!
Day 3 and 4: a few accidents each day, but I have to follow him around like a hawk, and it is very tiring, especially since he is on the move and I have Brody to take care of. He still does not show any initiative to tell me he needs to go, so we have many battles of him crying because I make him sit on toilet, sometimes for more than 20 minutes.
Wow, what a LONG couple of days! Since he has daycare tomorrow we are going to go the pull up route and hopefully he will starting wanting to go on the potty, not mommy wanting him to go!
