Brody's Turn

Being the second oldest, middle child, Brodes does a lot of observing Crew and what he gets to do.  "Mom, when is it MY turn to play soccer?"  Okay Brody your only 3, when you get to be 4 & 5 like Crew then you can.  Well we tried to last summer even get him to do this skills clinic for fun, but he is all talk, then it comes down to doing it and he chickens out!  He cried and cried and was so nervous about it, but at home it's all he talked about. 
So we decided to give it another try last week for a 4 day clinic at the Y.  He was super pumped and got a nervous before and did AWESOME!  He is so funny to watch, super quick and just sprints everywhere.  Now if he can just learn to stop shooting the soccer ball in the hoop, and just stick to learning the new skills with his feet he will be on the right path... 
He then had to miss the next couple days due to his asthmatic cough and ear infection (dang tubes, 2nd time and one is out again) but he finished strong on the last day and didn't scare everyone anymore with his nasty cough.  Now I am hoping we are over that scared to try things phase, I am sure there will be lots of soccer and fun things for him to try in his future!

Brody was EXTRA special because he got to do another round of swimming lessons WITHOUT Crew, how cool is that?  Nana even outfitted him in all Spidey stuff since he wasn't going to cry anymore during swim lessons.  He still love to wear this outfit even if we are going swimming or not!
