Zoo!

For Crew and Brody's birthday Tanis had given the boys a zoo pass to come down and visit and go to the Woodland Park Zoo. Rachel came along too and we had a GREAT time. Last summer we had gone to the zoo in Vancouver, but this one was a lot better, and it was a beautiful day!
Here are the hippos, and let me tell you, Crew did not want to leave them. We were probably watching them for 15 minutes. The whole rest of the time he kept asking to go back to the hippos...

We were able to get pretty up close and personal to the animals which was really cool!

It was nice having Tanis and Rachel along, it made it easier with the boys, too bad I wasn't rich and could always have nannies around :)
We were literally less than 10 feet away from this giraffe.
Crew is waving and reaching for it
The mighty LIONS!
Two monkeys.

We were pretty impressed by the "Helephant" too.
Another big hit was the new penguin exhibit.
Next summer I will have 3 boys at the zoo, I am feeling pretty BIG in this picture!
Cool a peacock!
Brodes checking out the Gorillas
Crew and Tanis
The Gorilla is staring right at Crew through the glass, SCARY!
Brody has to show off his new moves too, walking up the hill, what a cutie.
So excited to be walking and more mobile!
Keeping up with Aunt Rae Rae
It was a LONG day... but well worth it! THANK YOU!!
Tired???
Since Crew was such a good boy I promised him he could pick out ONE animal when he was done before we went home. This is what he brought me, an arm full of all his favorite zoo animals. It was too funny. Can you guess which animal he picked, the hippo of course! We finally had to tell him the hippos went on vacation because he didn't even quit talking about them.

We now have the hippo at home, and he has it swimming with him out in the pool :)

I love the zoo!! Isn't it fun with kids? Looks like you all had a great time and it must have been nice to have all that help.
