Camping at the KOA

Out of the driveway, and .5 miles later into our camp site, yep we went to the Lynden KOA for our first family tent camping experience.  It was an experience to say the least.  Along with our neighbors the Marti's, we packed everything up and got sites right across from the playground.  I don't want to say we aren't the camping type, maybe more Chris isn't :), but after this trip, it might be a while before we do it again! :)
Having some yummy snacks, camping is all about the food isn't it?  We roasted hot dogs, and had some smores too.
Crew and Hailey, that girl really puts up with all those boys pretty well.  At least I can tell her something and see listens and is my spy :)  I love how even camping she wears a dress!
Our first family tent!  Chris thinks the backyard is a better place for it...
Even though we were right down the street from where we lived we still felt like we were away.  The kids played hard, got really really really dirty, rode bikes, and we even did the paddle boats...
Knowing that Kyler would be a disaster camping, can't tie that kid up, he got dropped off for a bit while my parents had some dinner plans.  He was so excited, here is trying to tickle Crew.  Kys can still be our little MONSTER!
The closest I got to a picture of all 3 of them!
Around and around the went on their bikes....
This worked for about 2 mintues.  So the other time we were just running after him, this kids energy is unbelievable.

We did have a good time, and being there with the Marti's was even better.  The kids exhausted us, although that is nothing new.  Camping is a lot of work, even for one night right next to your house.  BUT the kids had a blast, and are still talking about it, and can't wait for the next time.  Thank goodness we have a prime location next to our house.  Driving is over rated anyway :)
